How to manage work messages
When you receive an email, it will provide you with information or ask you for action. You should check your email when you are ready to absorb information or take the requested action. Don't interrupt your current task to check your email, so the first thing you should do is turn off or customize your notifications.
Assign time blocks during the day to handle email and other messages. During these times, go through each message and take immediate action. When you work on your email, you work on somebody else's priorities. Limit your email time so you can use focus on your priorities.
