Make your work visible

We discussed previously the importance of helping your manager succeed to succeed in your job. One important caveat here is to seek all possible opportunities to take credit for your work. You want the management chain above your manager to have visibility into your work. Not all managers are good at what they do; some would take too much credit for the team's work to raise their status.
